This was our second project working with the Nightmare Snowboards brand. We built these five prototypes for their Youth Brigade line in February of 2019 for a their '19/'20 product launch event.
All five of these boards are 115cm, poplar cores, biaxial fiberglass, custom full wrap edge, and of course custom shapes and graphics to Nightmare's specifications.
We made these boards specifically for one of Colorado's most prolific and fearless little shredders, Phineas Townsend.
I worked with his dad to come up with a custom graphic that really defined Phineas at this age, of which we did a couple of variants so he could pick and choose which to ride from day to day. They came out great.
The board itself was based on one of our Apex 105 designs. 105cm, poplar core, biaxial fiberglass, full-wrap steel edges, true-twin, Flat-Rock profile.
This was our first project working with the Nightmare Snowboards brand in August of 2018. We built these prototypes as proofs-of-concept leading up to their Youth Brigade line. While these were fully built and ridable boards, they were mostly used as example pieces for sales calls.
We did let one of Summit County's most well known little riders, Zabel Parrott, demo one at Ketystone after manufacturing. Thing rode like a dream.
